Mac OS 15 Catalina seems to have broken SimpleImage. Trying to open JPG or TIF images produces an error message that file file couldn't be opened because it's in a format that SimpleImage doesn't understand.
A nice piece of shareware. I'm especially impressed with it's ability to creat frame-based Web catalog. Not going to replace my GraphicConverter, though. GC does what this app does - and a lot of other things - for five buck more.
SimpleImage does all those things I first loved about Mac apps. Simple and intuitive enough to work right away and get me productive but deep and flexible enough to do what I want to do and not what the app thinks I want to do.
I have been using this product for a couple of years now. It has a few quirks, but all in all, its a great tool.
4.0 fixes a couple of those quirks and makes SimpleImage stronger.
I would recommend this tool for anyone that needs a flexible slideshow/browser.
Keep up the great work.
SimpleImage is not perfect -- EXIF data is still farkled and incomplete -- but the interface is clean, simple, with plenty of options.
With work, SimpleImage could be a good viewer in a crowded market. Competition and intelligent critique makes for better products.
Support good work (which SimpleImage certainly is) and help the author make improvements that we all want and need.
Simpleimage 3.3.5 has failed to work correctly on my Macintosh PowerMac G3 (B/W). Am using OS 9.2.
Version 3.3.5 fails to display about half of all images in slide show mode, whereas version 2.5.1 works perfectly.
However, iview-multimedia.com has utterly failed to respond to my request for help. Therefore I am using only 2.5.1 in unpaid mode, although I have paid to use 3.3.5.
