Photos Workbench

Photos Workbench is a companion application to Apple Photos on macOS. You can use Photos Workbench to browse your photos library: view albums, filter and sort photos, and organize photos into albums.

Photos Workbench has unique capabilities to help you organize and find your photos:

The “Compare” function helps find the best image in a series of photos or variants of the same image.

Photos Workbench shows two photos side-by-side. This way, you can easily compare them. The first image is the best photo evaluated so far. If you like the second picture better, it moves to the first place. You can then compare it with the next candidate. When you reject a candidate, a new one moves up. Repeat the process until you have viewed all photos. What remains is the photo that has performed best in all comparisons.
