NZBVortex is a small, efficient, and powerful NZB client for OS X, optimized for performance and ease of use--a usenet client which really takes the pain out of usenet downloading the most efficient way.

What a great value. I get so much usefulness out of this app. Ten bucks and I use it nearly daily. I actually bought again after a few years, to support the developer. It's fast at grabbing from my Usenet service (Eweka currently, which I recommend). There are times that it doesn't UnRar some downloads properly and i have to do it manually. But that's a minor issue that only happens once in a while.

I submitted a bug report over a month ago, as well as emailed the dev. I received no feedback, apparently this is an abandoned app.

Lots of well designed and well implemented features, works like a charm and is easy to use, developer is nice and responsive. I have been using this app for years and didn't look any further ever since, so I cannot compare it to the competition (if there is any at all).

Fantastic NZB client app for Mac. Nothing else seems to come close to NZBVortex's feature set and simple usability. Easy NZB cleanup of junk files + cloud check for passworded or junk NZB's = really great client experience.
No crashes, hanging, or bugs. Very lightweight and fast, recommended whole-heartedly for Mac users looking to process .nzb's / Usenet shares

It was very good when it worked, but lately it is slow and I have to force quit the app. I have 2.11.10 and it tells me I'm up to date but I see here the version is 3.4.2

After a lifetime using windows. windows ten was a joke. So I bought my first Apple Mac and went looking for a program to download from usenet groups. After trying a few I found NZBVortex.
This program is easy to install and connect to mu usenet groups.
It is fast and handles any thing you could throw at it.
