This website is the best stand-in for Mediathek I know of: http://vavideo.de/ You can search for any program, and (other than with zdfmediathek.app) high-quality mp4’s (not Flash-files) are offered. Of course, it can’t hold a candle to Mediathek; however, it gets the job (somewhat) done.

What has happened to Mediathek? The last version, 2.6.4b, is the last one available, but the developer seems to have cancelled developing the software, and the server is taken offline, which means that nothing can be downloaded.

Auch bei mir läuft es unter 10.8.1 und 10.7.x (letzte 10.7) nicht mehr. Kein Server zu erreichen. Ansonsten ein tolles Programm! Ich würde es sehr vermissen!

Hi, since I update Mediathek on my mac (10.5.8), it doesn't work :( And now it is impossible to go back to old version of Mediathek. Someone can help? Bonjour, la dernière version de Mediathek ne fonctionne plus sur mon mac 10.5.8 :( Le programme me dit que je ne suis plus relié au web ou que le serveur est innaccessible alors que tout marche nickel. Et à présent, il est impossible de remettre l'ancienne version de Mediathek (obligation de la quitter car j'aurais créé une banque de donnée avec Mediathek mis à jour, et ce même en mettant cette nouvelle database à la poubelle). Quelqu'un peut aider?

Wunderbares Programm. Danke! Aber leider zeigt es seit einiger Zeit keine ARTE-Sendungen mehr, nur die deutschen Sender sind zu sehen, die ich aber weniger mag als ARTE. Schade... By the way: Ich lebe in Österreich, falls das für dieses Problem von Bedeutung ist.

Fantastisches Programm. Aber: Seit über einer Woche erscheinen keinerlei Inhalte mehr. Offenbar kann das Programm keine Verbindung mehr zu den Mediatheks-Servern herstellen. Beobachten das andere Menschen auch? Kann der Entwickler etwas sagen?

great software ! the only problem i seem to have is downloading ZDF NEO shows, I always get a "Resource not found" message . is this region restricted , I am in australia ??
