macupdate has old app posting. go to developer site and download this Screensaver which is compatible with MacOS 10.9 and above. I Installed it on Macbook Air running High Sierra 10.13.6 and runs great.

My favorite Matrix screen saver. I do wish it was available in 64-bit though, I can't run it on my new i7 MacBook Pro.

I am running Lion and keep getting an error message saying that it cannot be installed. :(

Very nice GFX with a 'all you could possibly want' interface. Rendering is also pretty good. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

this thing is AWESOME! I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and can't get it to work anymore! BUMMED OUT!!! excellent code, doesn't slow down programs you can do beautiful things with this. best screensaver ever. If anyone finds a way to make this work with Snow Leopard, let me know!!! Thanks

You can download the source from the following page, open it in Xcode, press CMD + B to build it and double click the resulting saver in "Products" to install it. Works perfectly, but I much prefer the GLMatrix saver. http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/matrixgl.html

Be sure to let us know as I try and check this page just on the off chance the DEVs have updated it for Snow Leopard. Keeping my fingers crossed you get the source code dude. Good luck!

No word yet on a Snow Leopard release of this. I've emailed the people who wrote it, several times now, but they never even acknowledge my message! I would happily rebuild it for Snow Leopard, I just need the source code. Hell I liked this screen saver so much, I'd pay $10 to have it back. I'll post something here if this awesome screen saver ever returns to Snow Leopard.

This was my favorite screensaver... please please do the tweaks necessary for Snow Leopard... We would all appreciate it.. A LOT!! could someone reply to my comment if they actually do so.. that way i get an email instead of checking the website every couple of weeks.. ugh..

Please please please update for Snow Leopard (10.6). This was my favorite screensaver on the Mac. I loved how the matrix code would switch to outline the current album art from iTunes. I'm on Snow Leopard and can't use it and the URL listed as a potential Snow Leopard (http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/matrixgl.html) is an older version (2.0). Please update for 10.6!!!

for 5 years running, been using this screensaver on my powerbook g4...recently upgraded to the MBP with Snow Leopard and my heart broke when I couldn't get this to work...please developers....do something for us Snow Leopard guys, since it was the best EVER screensaver that still leaves all my windows-friends cursing at how cool it is....

Couldn't get to load in 10.6. Tried it on an upgrade and on a clean install, and it will not load manually or automatically. However, worked great in 10.5 - it was (and will be again) my favorite screen saver.

works excellently under SL. Better graphics and more controls have resulted in an excellent screen saver. Tried it and paid the fee within 5 minutes. Recommend to all to try and buy!!

doesn't seem to work in Mac OS 10.6

This is probably one of the better Matrix code screen savers out there. It works good on a split monitor system. However, I've got two video cards that provide for four screens. The application crashes every time. I don't know if it's because I've got two cards or because the code didn't account for four screens. Either way, I can confirm it works on two monitors.

This is the real deal. You can have the classic 'Matrix' look or you can completely customize everything about it to show iTunes artwork or whatever you want.

This has been and still is the best screensaver for the Mac. I have been using it for almost 4 years on my Powerbook G4, and even now, guys with new Macs are clamouring to find out where I got this screen saver. The registered version has a great feature :- Transparent (grey) glyphs that speeds up with background network activity...and the best part it does this in real time, that means the glyphs fly in the foreground no matter what's behind! so you can play a movie and when you mouse to screensaver, it will start! Way cool!
