Liquid War overview

Liquid War is a unique multiplayer wargame. Its rules are truely original and have been invented by Thomas Colcombet. You control an army of liquid and have to try and eat your opponents. A single player mode is available, but the game is definitely designed to be multiplayer, and has network support.

MacOS 10.3.8 w/ all the updates.... in windowed mode, when you move the mouse outa the window, the game freezes in internet play, when you try to search for servers, the game freezes hitting esc quits the game instead of pausing/displaying a menu, as is the standard for games The graphics need serious work to be MacOS X worthy. The game play it's self is good, it's a good start.

This game is great. I have no problem with the arrow key control. It is fun - period.

Also, it's not correct that the computers have faster cursors. They all move at the same rate (even if you use mouse control).

There *is* a way to get mouse support. Click on the "teams" menu, and it will show the controls for each player. Click on one of the controls, and it will change it to whatever key you hit. But try moving the mouse instead of hitting a key, and it will change it to something like "M

Apparently, the lack of mouse support is deliberate. I recommend giving the game a miss until that's changed. "It would change the gameplay"? So? The game play NEEDS changing.

With no mouse support it's completely unplayable. The robot player's icon zoomes around fluidly, while you're drifting slowly around trying to steer with the cursor keys. And ironically, the user interface SHOULD be mouse-driven.

strangely, despite its very ugly graphics, this game has been one of my favourite "quick game" on windows. It's as much fun on mac os X and really needs to be played 5 minutes to understand the fun and playability of its idea.
