iElements overview

iElements is a reference Periodic Table for your Mac.

How is it different from other periodic tables? It has a simple design, and efficient interface, gorgeous photos of the elements, and a wide list of atomic and physical properties. Whether you're teaching or learning, we bet you'll love it!

I use this program every day and I really find it good. Maybe some or many aspects are realized in other programs too. For me is important that I can work with it and this is the fact. Very fast and good graphics and no missing item like in many other programs of this kind. And it works in mavericks and looks 'maclike'. Maybe the developer will add other languages like german too, this is my only wish at the moment...

I can see why Digital Science might feel sore about the degree to which iElements might seem to copy their Elements, and making the name so similar acknowledge this in a way that is either cheeky or ingenuous according to taste, but from a user's perspective iElements is actually rather good: it does not have quite the same depth of info as Elements, but it improves on the interface to my eye, contains some informal info (history and images) that elements lacks, has a better search (by name as well as symbol) and costs very little. It is also more up to date: Elements has not been updated in two years, and lacks a few new element names.

Such a rip-off of the shareware from DigitalScience. The name, the look and feel have all been copied. What a shame.
