It's been years that I peer at this app in the hope of replacing DragThing, and though it's surely a nice alternative, I still haven't been able to reproduce my DragThing's drawers. I find it pretty hard to tailor a drawer to my liking. I guess that someone without a less predefined goal in mind would be more satisfied... And anyway, when I update past Mojave, there'll be no better alternative.

I've looked high and low. This application has replaced the defunct DragThing on my Macs starting with macOS Catalina. It feels sooo different, yet for the me the only viable alternative.

A great product with great customer service: a few days ago, I sent them a feature suggestion. Yesterday (yes, yesterday was Christmas Day), I got a response, and a preview of their next version that will include the suggested new feature. Now THAT'S what I call customer service!

I very rarely write software reviews, but this developer has earned my loyalty and respect. Developer is extremely responsive. I emailed about a bug and it was fixed in the next release. They requested feedback about desired features. I requested making the collections show/hide via hotkey combo and importing via file extension, and, boom, two updates later I get my wishes. For anyone who has experience with Fences on Windows this is exactly what you are looking for for your Mac desktop. The storage mechanics work a little differently as a consequence of the OS, but the desktop experience is very nearly as polished.

The best launcher for Mac. Just moved from outdated DragThing which I've been using for 2 years. iCollections has far better design and it's very useful. Easy to use and intuitive. I use it on Macbook Pro Retina

One problem: the folders inside the iCollections folder do NOT have the same name as your collection in the Titlbar, instead they have cryptic names like Coll.3rqU15. This makes it hard to impossible to add the iCollections folder to your Finder Sidebar to open files from a applications' Open dialog and find the right files in the right folder!

Right! This one together with Bartender is a no brainer for those that want to be organized! Very nice. Beware however that when you 'park' items on your desktop but now in a iCollection-window everything is moved to a folder in Documents. So if you quit iCollections your desktop is empty
