Growly Photo overview
Growly Photo does not import your photo files, it just remembers where they are. Within Photo you can create a structure of groups and folders as simple or complex as you like, to make finding and viewing your photos absolutely easy. At the top level are groups, for example you could organize your photos by year as in the screenshot above. You can also have groups for family, animals, collections, trips -- whatever you can think of. Each group contains folders, nested to any depth, and the folders contain references to your photo files.

v2.4.3 is out. "If a photo is geotagged, the “Show Location” button in the Metadata section of the detail panel will take you to Google Maps to show where the photo was taken."

would be nice to see(or maybe not so..) on the left side all existent folder structure added automatically - desktop, downloads...etc. But I guess the developer left this function entirely up to user to decide WHAT to add, which is actually nice too and different from applications like XnView(which is IMO is the best) and Lyn (nice as well, but extremely slow with updates. All Growly applications are exceptional and one of a kind.

I like Growly Photo. It´s easy to use, intutive and has all functions one need in order to get a good overview of the collections. Photo offers several filters where the most common adjustments can be done. Recommended!

This could be a nice replacement for Google Picasa. Unfortunately nested folders are not retained. Also contextual menus are not used.
