I like the idea. But this widget is very glitchy. This is betaware. I'm not sure I'm going to bother using it in the future. Here are some major problems:
1) I note here that it is possible to drag it around by its 'i' info button. But that is entirely user-hostile, not remotely intuitive. I found I could drag it around after I clicked the 'i' button while in information mode. It seriously should have its entire surface set as dragable.
2) It's fun to see the world go round, but it glitches from a sort of night to day mode seemingly haphazardly. It does NOT correspond to what is currently day or night. I'm not sure exactly what it is attempting to portray, but it isn't anything in real time. I have a far superior widget that shows a map of the planet with night and day areas clearly delineated, which I will be using instead.
3) It needs a shrink button for when you're not viewing it. This is very common among other big widgets. As it is, the space it takes up is HUGE.
4) It refuses to give up the front layer of the widgets. It is impossible to use anything behind it's massive box area. This is extremely naughty for a widget! I have well over a dozen other widgets I run at the same time. That this widget lays on top of more than half of them is not acceptable.
It's free! It has promise. It needs work. I kind of don't want to bother with it again. But I'll check it out after the bugs are squashed.
