Wow... actually runs in Big Sur!

When DAZ gets serious about supporting the Mac OS (Big Sur), I'll consider them to be something more than a second-level also-ran to Poser, as they've been for years.

Might want to consider some screenshots with actual characters in them.

Daz Studio doesn't run on big sur. They say they will fix it but it will take many months.

Not compatible with Big Sur

DazStudio has come a long way. Previously you had to upgrade to the Pro version for almost $500, but now the full Pro version is free. This even includes free models with more available at sites like Daz3D.com, Renderosity.com and ShareCG.com. On top of that, you can use Poser figures in DazStudio, not just DS figures. To use DS figures in Poser, you'll need a special plug in due to DS figures being more complex and having better realism due to that fact. They have even added some nice tutorials. Considering the price (FREE) and the amount of features available, it's a no-brainer for people who want to do artwork with figures. Posing and shaping is easy and rendering is really straightforward. If you want to animate, something Poser offers in it's package (Poser is not FREE), you'll need the Animate2 plugin available at Daz3D.com, but that's only if you want to animate. I stayed away from Daz Studio versions 1 and 2. I attempted to use it at 3 and stayed with Poser, but with 4.+, I haven't found myself using Poser in over a year.

These beggars are the cursed source of endless spam I'm unable to eliminate, no matter what I do. I can find no way to contact them to to tell them to stop. I've never bought their products asnd never will but they keep sending their crap. May they burn in hell.

DAZ 3D has made content for Poser (a far superior software to DAZ Studio) for years, and they've been trying, for years, to woo some of the Poser customer base over to their DAZ Studio program. In addition to having a butt-ugly Windows GUI, it's a clunky, poor man's version of Poser, despite a number of updates since its release a few years ago. Their content for Poser, however, is far superior to anything you'll find elsewhere. An interesting dilemma.

For something offered on Mac Update, it contains surprisingly little Mac support. The user guide has a great step by step ... but when you try to follow it on a Mac, many of the Features are missing ... such as the built in tutorials. It is almost impossible to even figure out how to install the models and, like posted before, it is really only a Demo.

wow - what awful software. The interface disappears and it's barking about loading scenes when I have them active. Brutal
