Makes migrating from Quicken® and other personal finance managers that much easier by automatically selecting the most recent Entry in each Account after you use one of the File > New > Document from... commands.
Corrects an issue introduced in version 2.7.28 that could prevent check numbers in OFX or QFX files from importing.
Includes the usual minor user interface tweaks and performance enhancements.

Straightforward, uncomplicated, and uncluttered with minutiae that is largely unnecessary and confusing. It was easy to set up, and it's easy to maintain. Keeping records is something of a chore; Checkbook makes the transition from paper to digital less intimidating and time-consuming.

I really don't think there is anything that needs improvement but I had to pick a box in order to submit my review so I did. I have used other financial apps that basically had too much "things" that I never used. Just caused me a lot to ignore them. Simple CheckBook is for me.

I have used Checkbook for several years and thru several Macs, because I like the simplicity. In November, I got a MacBook AIR and in the migrating process, somehow my checkbook did not completely load. I only had October 2023 instead of the several years I had. I started over and it works, but I do miss the history of my checkbook. I thought it would be in the cloud but I can't find it. And my backups don't seem to work. 5 stars until this issue.

I purchased CheckBook several years ago but continued to use Quicken 2017. I refused to upgrade to renting software and when Quicken quit allowing one to import data from my bank finally decided it was time to move on. CheckBook imported my data flawlessly. It took a few days to learn the keyboard shortcuts but now the app seems natural. Some things I love about it. It allows me to change the fonts to a larger size which is helpful for my older eyes. I can store it in iCloud and be able to use the file from my laptop and desktop. Very well pleased.

I've been using Splasm's CheckBook for years now. Across 4 new Macs over the years, I've had no problem importing a previous back up to the new install; it picks up right where I left off from there. It's easy to use and gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Keep up the great work and I'll keep using it indefinitely.

I've been using CheckBook for about 6 years; does everything I need & never a problem. Easy-to-use interface, much easier to reconcile than my old paper/pencil/calculator method. I wouldn't mind a more obvious way to edit the selectable dropdown entries in the Description & To/From fields, but I may be overlooking something that's already there.

I started using CheckBook just a few months ago after purchasing a iMac. I have been an avid Windows user. Looking for a program to keep my checkbook on the iMac was challenging to say the least. This is better than any program I used on my Windows computers! It's so easy!

I have been using CheckBook since 2010. In that time I've had to contact Splasm only about 3 times and on every occasion have received a personal, prompt and helpful reply that resolved the issue that I had. This product is very simple to use, and does everything that one would need for keeping an eye on home finances and investments. I really wouldn't use anything else.
