I have had the program for more years than I want to admit. It has never been reliable and will only export 1 out of hundreds of tries. It out right sucks and I would not waste your money. 😠😠

Global Delight has several fine products that positively enhance the macOS experience. Their website is great and they obviously support a large number of staff. However, that's where the good news story ends.
Support is atrocious. Their friendly robot answers a support e-mail quickly and gushingly. However, that's where it ends. When an issue is reported, it takes several attempts to even get a real person to acknowledge it. At the moment, since the release of macOS 14.3ß1, crashes on startup and still crashes on the ß2 release issued today. For me that 21 days without Capto and no fix in sight. I know that I am running official ß updates but that's up to me and of course, finding bugs is helpful to everyone. It's Global Delights' job to immediately fix problems for their paying customers. I hope they get the message because there's no better product than Capto

The app is second to none. The developers are another story. Their website is full of pretty pictures of the Global Delight team but behind all the glitz and glitter there is absolutely no support at all. Reluctantly I am considering another copy-paste application. Whilst it's not as intuitive as Capto, it is at least reliable and has obvious support. The owners should consider selling it to an organisation that can nurture it before it goes down the drain.

I think Capto is the best thing since fried eggs and has been a valuable tool since Viola Days. However, the customer support from the developer is just crap. They send cheery messages that they will respond to in 24 hours but rarely, if ever, do so. At the moment, Capto version 2.0.0 crashes in macOS Sonoma version 14.3ß1. I have sent two E-Mails to let them know, together with crash logs but as yet nothing. What a shame, it's such a good app.

System keeps asking to give Screen Recording permission (not only between Mac reboots), it becomes grinding and makes app unusable. Contacted support never got an answer.

As wgbaker14 says on Oct 30, he gets a pop up to fix privacy settings.....well, now I have been getting them since the update 2 versions back...just every so often on my iMac. It is now May 2, 22 and still no fix, no answers from these guys. I've said it times before, Voila was perfect! Capto, since inception and the purchase is now in India. They don't care to answer emails, nada. They only work on and email......all the time........re; Boom. Well, that's how the company's going to go out. Its a darn shame for a once GREAT company.

i used it once and it was fine and now it keeps giving me a pop up to fix my privacy settings but my settings are fine - tried doing it anyway, rebooting, reinstalling app, etc....nothing works. this is very frustrating and annoying!!!

Terrible customer service. Capto began acting up on my Mac two weeks ago. I emailed their customer support desk multiple times and got no reply. I followed their Facebook page and asked for help...with no reply. I tagged them in Twitter...and got no reply. Terrible.

App decided to ask me to give it Screen Recording Permissions again (out of the blue) but somehow system does not register them.. already ran into this issue when app was launched (post-Voilà). Basically it is now usless.. again.. and when it does work it is sluggish.. I always hope it gets really FIXED but am losing hope now.. too bad it has all the tolls one needs but who needs tools if they do not work well.

Version 12.2.6 just out a few days ago May 19 or so. Here I am AGAIN CAPTO! This version is worse yet....sorry. I've been trying to use Command+Shift+4 for screen capture area and it is going BACK to default Apple every 2 captures for at least 8 or 9 times now. PLEASE get this together and fix. This is still a problem here on my MacBook Air with High Sierra and my iMac with High Sierra. I am looking elsewhere now for a different application. You don't answer ANY of my emails to you.

Capto 1224. ......and today, dear Capto has quit dragging by the header to anywhere. Have done a number of restarts here on the iMac as well as MacBook Air. Eventually it does, but stalls at times and does it again. Both machines. ugh

Well here I am again, year after year from Capto's inception. Voila was fine if not great.....the predecessor. Never had a problem with it. Capto.......still...after years, reverts to Apples screen shop app, sometime after 2 captures and sometimes after a dozen. Every month. Just happened yesterday again after a dozen while I was doing some important screenshots of pref files for another program. So infuriating. I've written the parent company probable 5 or 7 times. C'mon guys, can't be a hard fix, lay off the Big Sur and fix this issue first. Waitinggggg.

I've tried to record a video but I clicked on stop it prompted the error something and cannot save to the disk. It's a very important meeting and I cannot believe this has happened. Although it's not frequent after a period of use. And the organizer is such a mess after you remove one video actually you can still find the video file in Finder. I seriously don't like this software, but this is the only one mainly used for screen recording in Setapp.

"I donot know why many people have this app 3 stars review ," Why?! Here is why! I recorded 3 hour long and it crashed in the end. Even though the saved 6.7 gb file is still in my files neither Capto nor any other app can open the .mov file within the Capto File Package. How is that for a why? And also. No reply to my email from the developers as well.
