Version 7.1 requires MacOS 13 or greater not MacOS 11 or greater.

I have been using Calibre for many years and lost my backup and had to re-purchse it. So happy to get it back as I love it.

7.0 is not for OS 11 but for OS 13.0 (Ventura) and higher.

Fantastic software! Took me forever to find an app which I could use to edit certain elements of my exported epub book

v5.27.0 adds access to news and articles from 'The Week' by Kovid Goyal, Kovid being the developer of calibre! There is no 'About' information regarding the magazine or its website. My guess is that Kovid is both publisher and editor. It's a weekly news magazine in English from an India perspective, well worth a read or subscription for those interested. Thank you Kovid!

It is the best library management for ebooks - and almost the only usable one on any desktop. It could be made better but we may/must help a bit there with donations. The one thing I have not understood yet (as far as design decisions go) is why it does not support iCloud as a place for libraries (there are some ways to do it but they are not straightforward.

I enjoy online reads so these app is absolutely fantastic for me to sort them out

A useful app, but the interface is terribly ugly and non-Mac-ish. It's desperately in need of a facelift.

Brilliant stuff. Does all sorts of useful things - much more than look after your library, or libraries. And free!

Does not support High Sierra and my computer can't go higher than OS 10.13.6, I will not buy a new Mac just for one app.

Calibre has been a great tool when I wrote a book, years ago, to convert it for online stores. Only issue was that Amazon refused Calibre's mobi format and I had to make some corrections using Sigil (the other indispensable tool in this category!) The interface could be clearer and more Mac like, but it has far more functions than I needed, so I guess, it's not easy to stuff them in. ;-) The choice to make it 10.14 is surprisingly more radical than what even Apple usually does, but indeed you can still use v3.48, available on their website.

Absolutely superb free library program so easy to use... I have been using it for several years and have more than 900 books. It has the facility to translate books into different formats if needed. It has become essential for me that I truly love.
